Avoid it.

Welcoming very long, incompetent hostess, no water in the morning throughout the hotel before departure by plane, insufficient breakfast.

Good.

The hotel is 20 minutes from the center. He needs a repair, he's got a pretty strong smell in the bathroom and the shower could be better. The manha coffee is pretty weak. The bed is comfortable and has a heater in the room, which helped a lot, as it was quite cold. Veronica, the receptionist, very polite and always very friendly!

Fine but needs improvement.

Hotel was okay. They initially put us in a room with no window so asked to move. Breakfast was pretty poor. Decor needs updating.

Cold and Noisy

We stayed at Hotel Mabey as part of an Exoticca package. Unfortunately, this hotel was well below our expectations. The showers were lukewarm at best, so we had to minimize our time in the water so that we don't freeze. The breakfast was OK in that they had the basics, but they don't refresh it very often. The coffee would have grounds in every cup and was quite bitter, and the eggs were sometimes cold. One of the cereals had become glued into a solid lump due to the humidity. The room itself had little sound proofing so you could hear everyone from different directions, this is compounded by the fact that the bathrooms all vent to a central shaft, so you can easily hear the bathrooms on different levels. Overall I would not recommend staying here.

We’d like to mention that this season, Cusco is experiencing colder temperatures than usual. To help guests stay warm, each room is equipped with an oil-filled radiator, and both rooms and hallways are carpeted and acoustically treated to improve comfort. We regret that noise was still an issue during your stay — and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as we’re always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience.
Regarding breakfast, we serve a full American-style buffet, as described on our website, offering a variety of options each morning. We’re sorry to hear that some items didn’t meet your expectations — particularly the coffee. We’d like to clarify that the coffee we serve is a high-quality coffee essence made here in Cusco. As is traditional with this type of preparation, it should be mixed with hot water to achieve the right balance and flavor.
We truly value your observations and take them seriously, as they help us to improve. Wishing you all the best on your future travels through Peru and beyond.
