Great start to our Southern African adventure

This is by no means a negative, but more just awareness. The bathroom is beautiful, but you can hear people in the other tents when you are doing your business. Also, the food is in smaller portions, but there are plenty of times it is served. Honestly, we liked the smaller portions given how often food was served. Overall, this place is amazing and I would highly recommend it. The staff is attentive, the tents are beautiful, the view on the river is second to none. My only complaint is I wish I could have stayed longer.

Excellent hospitality

The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and thoughtfully presented, providing the perfect setting to relax and experience the magic of the African bush.
What really stood out was the genuine hospitality. Every detail was handled with care, and the entire team made our stay feel effortless and memorable.
Jackalberry exceeded our expectations, and we left with wonderful memories that we will treasure. A truly special place with an incredible team — we would absolutely love to return! ❤️They made my birthday very special

Chef went missing?

Mixed feelings. On arrival advised lunch was one choice: spaghetti. Food for first two days very limited and mediocre. Final day seems like the chef came back? Staff fab. Tent rooms great, probably hell in summer due to anemic air conditioning. Game park trips great, you can see a lot more at Pilansburg park in STH Africa though. On the river.

Loved everything about Jackalberry

Amazing stay here. Would not hesitate to come back or recommend. The common area is so peaceful and beautifully appointed right on the river. The Tent's are spacious and also well appointed with huge bathrooms and claw foot tubs. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was our 30 year wedding anniversary and they made the most beautiful decor as a surprise for us. We will always remember that effort and kindnesss. The warmth of the staff sure can partially be attributed to the mangers on site. In particular we had such fun with OP and loved her exuberant greetings. Jacob is another employee I'd like to give a shout out to...he is a young man with wonderful people skills.

Highly recommend staying here!

We spent 3 nights at Jackalberry Chobe. From the moment we stepped out of the vehicle, we felt at home. The staff provided a very warm welcome and a terrific orientation. Our room was the closest river front room to the pool. The room was spacious & luxurious. They provided so many little things for you, such as toiletries & personal items, paper &a pen. There is a heater to keep you cosy and a fridge to keep your drinks cold. The bathroom out the back was magnificent. The shower was fantastic & the bath was beautiful. The view over the river was spectacular. The whole property was lovely. The pool and lounges were very inviting. The inside & outside meal areas were comfortable and inviting. The food was terrific and plentiful and drinks were great. Staff were AMAZING. Game drives were fantastic & our guide Jerry was wonderful. The sunset boat cruise was terrific. We highly recommend private game drives/boat rides- you can tailor them to your preferences & you have the best views of all the animals(worth the money!) Absolutely incredible stay, we highly recommend this accommodation. Thankyou to everyone for a memorable stay! Jacki & Mark
