Great atmosphere but a downside at one of the restaurants
We had two comfort double rooms for four people for four nights. The price outside of the holiday season was 150 per person per night including breakfast, which was high but reasonable (so the double room per night was 300). The rooms were in the main building 1. Floor with each having a balcony (see title image). The hotel and the entire complex are truly high-quality and atmospheric. In one of the restaurants, we felt particularly comfortable (Il Cavallo), which also had a very nice, large terrace with a great view of Lake Chiemsee, about 2 km away, with a mountain panorama.
The bathrooms were modern, and the cleanliness in all areas of the hotel was as expected very good.
The only downside during our stay was the restaurant "Zum Goldenen Pflug," which we reserved because of its cozy rooms despite the high price. That evening, the terrace was full, and the staff seemed unable to handle the demand. We sat inside and felt neglected. Everything took too long; people at the neighboring table confirmed this impression. There was no one coordinating everything, and we had constantly changing waiters who were obviously not trained as such. The menu was, as mentioned, high-priced, but we missed dishes like a pork roast, which should actually be available in such a "Bavarian cuisine." My onion roast with cheese spaetzle was good, but it also didn't blow me away. In short: I would skip this restaurant next time - very unfortunate.
We would definitely book the hotel again!

A wonderful stay - we will come back !
Our stay at Gut Ising was wonderful all around. I was particularly impressed by the spacious and stylish wellness area, which offered pure relaxation with its diverse saunas, the magnificent pool and the lovingly designed relaxation areas. Breakfast was a real highlight – varied, fresh and with a wide selection of regional specialities that left nothing to be desired. The staff were friendly, accommodating and always eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms also impressed with their high level of comfort, tasteful furnishings and an atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. Overall, a perfect place to let body and soul come to rest equally.

Rather mixed
The leisure activities are varied. The small golf course is nice and my wife could ride. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly.
You shouldn't eat there during peak hours. We once waited 1.5 hours.
Caution when booking Junior Suite:
We stayed there for 5 days and had booked a junior suite. For the no small salary we were offered a suite on the ground floor opposite a restaurant. We slept here for one night. We couldn't open the curtains. As other suites were not available, although we had booked months in advance. We then moved to a “senior” site. The hotel contributed to the higher costs.

Service quality lacking
I think the hotel staff are not used to foreign guests. Mistakes were made on getting my reservation right - saying I had booked for two nights when it was three. The reservation confirmation was confusing because I check out on Tuesday but the billing and breakfast inclusion was only up to the Monday. I received the wrong bill at the Bavarian restaurant. I was advised the Derby restaurant was open, when it was closed. I hired a bicycle for two days but not one staff member had the foresight to imagine I might need to know where the bicycle room is. It would help if they understood the property well and what guests might need.
In addition I had to spend time from my busy job trying to arrange a taxi that the staff said would cost a certain amount. When I called the number they advised, it was not correct. This lead to more time being wasted.
The property itself was very nice, but I only remember the service quality wherever I go.
