The double glazing is partly blurred, preventing the full view of the panorama from the inside
We wanted to stay overnight near the Trinity Church of Gergeti (Tsminda Sameba), we wanted a nice view from the room and we reduced the choice to the two that we thought met our expectations, in the end we chose the one that on paper was easily accessible by car, namely Kazbegi View.
In fact, the choice was not the most appropriate since the roads in that area are in bad shape, usually with a kind of excavation on the side, so you have to move to the left and zigzag between these holes in order not to damage the rental car. We didn't read anything about it but patience, but in the last piece another problem arose: turning right to reach the structure the road was interrupted because they were doing work with a digger, we asked the workers how we should do to reach Kazbegi View and they told us to continue on the main road turn right to the next street, I follow the instructions but after a while the road becomes dirt, and full of potholes, to go in the direction of the structure I would have to make a road with a high possibility of doing damage to the car (we had a normal car, not a 4x4 ...)
We wondered why the property had not notified us with a message to warn us that the road was blocked (a message had sent us to tell us that we had to pay in cash ...)
Arrived at the property we started to check in and through my wife who, fluent in Russian, I asked why they did not send us a message to warn us of the problem and the answer was that they are not responsible for the road, by the way my wife did not translate it to me but also said that if we did not like it we could not pay and look for another structure (removed this inappropriate answer, if my wife had translated it I would have done it, although arriving in the afternoon and having to look for another structure after the road not "relaxing" to get there ...
The only two things he did was to ask if we wanted him to drive the car to the hotel (I said I didn't want to risk damage to the car) and that, since there was this problem, he could bring us the suitcases (I refused both things, the first because the damage anyway I would have paid for it, the second because there was a tense climate and I preferred to go 3 laps back and forth to get my luggage).
He escorted us to the room, the windows all fogged, opened the door and inside it seems to be in a sauna, however the sunset was near and with the door open you could survive.
We had chosen that structure for the view of the glacier, I did not worry much about the fogged glass because the important thing would be the sunrise with the view of the glacier. Too bad that gone the steam due to the heat the window remained largely opaque (I think for a defect in the double glazing), and think that we chose that structure for that view. Obviously we saw it from the balcony but considering the cold it would have been better to have a warm breakfast while we enjoyed the view.
Other negative things about the structure:
- the door opens badly (it seems that the pin tends to come out which should allow opening only in the slot)
- the floorboards in some places yield dangerously and some planks are cracked
- there are nails driven into the beams (probably designed to hang clothes since there are no wardrobes)
- there were only bath towels, missing those for face / hands
- photos of the structure that are published on booking sites are probably those made just inaugurated
- the bathroom tap opens with difficulty
- there are no cabinets (as written above there are only nails driven into the beams)
- the room is not conditioned, there is a fan that is not enough when the sun hits the room
- lacks some privacy: since to see the view you should be in the room or on the terrace, the fact that there are other guests passing in the front lawn and sitting up a few meters from the room can be annoying.
- the road to get to the structure is not asphalted, in case of rain it can be a problem
- the room must be paid in cash but near the reception there is the credit card reader (when I pointed it out he told me that that is only used for the restaurant...
- at the check out, after I brought my luggage in the car, I locked the room and went to bring the key, there was only one guy who told me that he should not collect it, to leave it on the door ... , I think it was the person who did the cleaning, so I came back and left the key on the door ...
Obviously we left a review citing all the problems, the manager responded by reiterating that they are not responsible for the maintenance of the road and that they did not know that day would be interrupted (you can see that they did not even hear the digger a short distance away), then that they had worried because my wife had assaulted the manager and staff of the restaurant (ridiculous), icing on the cake said that since I did not complain to them during the stay everything I said was unfounded (apart from that when we left there was no one besides the cleaning staff ... and the property declares open 24 hours a day).
Of the problems of the room (obfuscated glass, cracked boards etc) I have photos so if I am allowed to publish them all can get an idea
Useful tips for those who want to stay there:
- before paying ask to see the room and check that the window has no problems (I think and hope that not all rooms have this problem)
- if you have a non-off-road rental car (with excess) you can park in the street above and do a few minutes on foot without risking damage to the car

Kazbegi views from cabin hotel
Extraordinary place to visit. Wonderful views to the mount Kazbegi. Wide windows of the cabbins, all necessary items in the rooms, centralized heating, individual toilets, internal walking pavements makes this place special. Wish I could stay here longer

Breathtaking view!
The most amazing stay with breathtaking view I’ve been so far! Fully equipped rooms (booked with mountain view), fast wifi, very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find, 5mins walk to center of the village. Nearby restaurant with Georgian kitchen. 5 out of 5 stars.

Marvelous view, cozy and warm room
We expected to spend 1 night and we stayed longer. The spot is spectacular with superb views. The room is super big with a kitchen and warm in winter. Alex, the person in charge, is helpful. Really the place to stay.
