The Lighthouse .

We had very nice stay at the Lighthouse Dermot was very welcoming , room and breakfast was perfect especially the porridge great location would happily stay again .

Most gracious host ever encountered

The proprietor Dermot Lynch was absolutely gracious and accommodating. He and his son went out of their way to provide us with not only a place to stay, but allowed us to use some of their personal facilities. The house was extremely clean, comfortable, and quite. The breakfast was exceptional and sufficient. We would love to stay there again.

Great place to stay!

We stayed in a lovely ground floor room with a beautiful, tiled bathroom and a gel mattress bed. Dermot Lynch was great at communicating when I was booking the room several months before our June stay, and even called me in the US to clarify any questions, since I wasn't sure my booking was going through online. Dermot and his son Jack arranged a great breakfast each day, which my wife and I enjoyed, as we are big breakfast eaters-- coffee machine to program your desired hot beverage, croissants, brown bread, whole wheat/white bread for toasting, butter, jam, yogurt, cereal/muesli selection, Irish cheeses/cold cuts, fresh fruit to eat out of hand, blueberries and blackberries, juices, etc. Dermot also made homemade porridge on request-- while we didn't have it, everyone who had it said it was absolutely delicious, with fresh fruit in it plus, I understand, a dash of Bailey's Irish Cream as the secret ingredient. The other advantage of this stay was that we were offered the use of the washer/dryer during our stay. As Dingle was about halfway through our trip and we were getting ready to search for someplace to do some laundry, this couldn't have come at a better time. Jack and Dermot always had suggestions for places to eat or things to do, places to find trad music or step dancing, if we hadn't already made our own plans; and they always asked at breakfast how things went at places we had frequented to be sure their recommendations to others were always up-to-date and accurate. Dermot also does some specialized bespoke tours for a fee, on request.

The Lighthouse Dingle

Great two night stay at the Lighthouse in Dingle. Fabulous host Dermot made us feel very welcome and his porridge needs to be tried. Lovely room and walking distance to town provided you can manage a slight hill.

Cozy and very clean

The lighthouse in Dingle is a highlight. Very tastefully furnished; one feels at home immediately. Everything is very clean. The host is very nice, completely uncomplicated, and the breakfast is well organized, everything is freshly prepared.
