Everything is fine

Very friendly welcome. All good with the elekt. Wheelchair accessible. Clean. Hotelgarage. Close to the center, port, promenade, cable car, all within walking distance.
A delicious breakfast!

FiNGER WEG wg. new owner

Great hotel, I've known for 12 years, but since the new owner Faraway Homes Vienna I urgently need to advise. Staff on site great, room ok, but incredibly annoying pre-check-in that retrieves excessive data, requires a photo upload (we're not in North Korea) and requires a copy of ID. I've had to switch seven emails with Hotel Germania/Faraway Homes, never had so much pre-theater in my entire life. I called in the Austrian Hotel Association.
FINGER AWAY from Hotel Germania as long as Faraway Homes is in charge. Under previous owner Fesenmayr, this was a top tip. Now Faraway is just annoying. I recommend more relaxed locations. Hotel Messmer, Hotel Bodensee, Wellenhof Lochau.
Not like that!

awful room - to avoid

Avoid this place at all costs.
We stayed here in July in Junior Suite No. 115 (2 adults, 2 children), and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience.
The room was nothing like the photos on the website. It was dark, outdated, and poorly maintained.
The main bedroom had no window at all, and the only two small windows overlooked a service staircase — hardly the “beautiful view” advertised.
The furniture was old and worn. The children’s bed was in terrible condition, with a destroyed mattress that made it nearly impossible for them to sleep.
Cleanliness was unacceptable: spider webs in corners and even an old shoe under the kids’ bed (we took pictures).
To make matters worse, someone attempted to enter our room early in the morning.
When we requested a different room or two double rooms, the receptionist (an older woman) refused to discuss it, despite availability showing online.
We even asked for a refund to go elsewhere — no response.
We paid €300 for this appalling experience. Truly unacceptable.

Hotel am pPfänder

The hotel on the edge of Bregenz I would not personally recommend.
The reception was rather frosty and unfriendly, despite bike hotel, you could only park the bikes unguarded and charge the battery only at certain sockets that were allocated.
My room was dark and rather "old-fashioned", the advice at the reception actually not available (question about Pfänderbahn, restaurant remained unanswered), no reference to breakfast and also not that the reception is not occupied in the morning.
The breakfast itself was adequate but rather moderate.

Already our Third party visit to “Germania”

The location of the hotel is just a dream, within walking distance of the lake and the town center. Staff very friendly and eager, breakfast a dream.
Then why the point deduction?
Mattresses are unfortunately much too soft. At the reception, however, we have already been informed that the problem will soon be tackled.
The water pressure (or lack thereof) is probably due to the age of the building.
