Das charmante und sehr individuelle Hotel S'Matt, in Röthis, weniger als 10 km vom Stadtzentrum Feldkirch entfernt, ist ein wunderschön renoviertes Haus mit modernen und sehr gemütlichen Zimmern in bester Lage.

The room was perfect, great size and very clean. Self check-in was smooth, EV charge point simple to use and well priced. For me the only downside was the lack of a bar, there was a vending machine with some beer and wine, it wasn’t particularly well stocked and is cash only. Overall very good.

It is a self check-in accommodation. Need to check in online before arriving the property for pass code.
No elevator, but room was very spacious and well maintained. Air conditioning was not available so first the room felt hot, but it became better in the morning.

All in all a successful stay :-))
We were in AT as a motorcycle group, we liked the S'Matt on the website and it absolutely confirmed our impression on site.
A bit inconspicuous from the outside, but the rooms are tasteful and very clean, a good mix of modern and rustic.
In terms of organization, everything was unproblematic, there were plenty of parking spaces.
We must particularly mention the friendliness of the staff at reception/on the phone and the breakfast, both in terms of quality/selection, and the very attentive service!

Only 1 month old and very promising!
1st, Röthis as a lodging location is highly underrated. In my view, it is strategically located whether one is heading to the north or southeast of this region.
2nd, probably because S'Matt just opened in August 2016, they only have 1 review in Tripadvisor, the vague description on Booking website and their own website, needs major uplift.
There is so much history behind this building and background with the restoration and renovation.
Now, I only knew about it after coming home and chance upon the write-up in Gemeinde Röthis. Quote: "The house is one of the oldest buildings in Röthis, in which around 1800, the first business established by Röthis.
In 13,500 hours Peter (the owner) and his team has, for the most part on their own, the former inn restored in loving detail."
When we first walked into the building, we immediately felt that there is something special about this place. We also liked the thoughtfulness which both Peter and Monika Matt has incorporated as part of the renovation and restoraton.
The entrance to the building and rooms are pin codes activated. Rather cool!
Our room have a short stair way leading to the bedroom, giving a sense of "Aha". The pillows & bed super comfy.
Only design drawback would be the shower/toilet area. When one shower, water will be splashed right over the toilet bowl and the area.
3rd, the very personable and helpful service rendered by Monika Matt. She had a sealed envelope prepared for our check-in with room pincode. Recognizing that my hands were full, she immediately unsealed the envelope, showed and explained how to use the pincode. Then, she lead us to the room. Well, she also recommended us Rebberg restaurant for dinner. (Read my review on Trip Advisor). It is just walking distance from S'Matt.
4rd, the diverse and generous spread of breakfast. Love it! Monika was also there to serve coffee and other request.
5th, parking and Wi-Fi is free of charge.
We are very happy to have chosen this place instead of an extensively review hotel in Dornbin.

Ein sehr schmuckes "altes" Haus welches sehr modern gestaltet ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und haben ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente.
Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit (auch mitten in der Nacht).
Ist aus meiner Sicht sehr zu empfehlen. Wenn ich wieder in der Gegend bin, werde ich dieses Hotel wiederum buchen (sofern es noch freie Zimmer hat).
