Very pleasant hotel in a very good location of Basel. The room and facilities were first-class - as was the service and breakfast.

The table was very big for the room. There was only one sidetable besides of the bed, and the chair was heavy and no more “ frish “ the room is useful, but could be more nice and less “heavy”
It is a useful room - but…
The staff all very friendly.

Unfortunately no longer recommended for brunch or breakfast.

For 10 years we enjoyed having an aperitif or brunch on the beautiful terrace or in the entrance area every now and then, somewhat exclusive but still just affordable. That is no longer possible. Instead of telling us this directly upon arrival, we were informed differently, mostly incorrectly - by various service and bar staff, as well as the reception staff. We were sent from the terrace to the former breakfast room and to the entrance area, only to find out after half an hour that "today" neither brunch
nor breakfast can be served. Impossible, this service!
