It was the perfect stay option in Visp. The hotel is just a minute away from the train station with plenty of eating options nearby. The breakfast offered a big spread. And the bonus for us was the upgrade to a premium room.

Excellent staff and Hotel

The hotel was outstanding in the size of room, and how clean it was. This was a last minute booking (approx 9pm - arriving after midnight) due to a nightmare with flights being cancelled. We needed to call direct and the receptionist (Sebastian S) went out of his way to assist us - A true professional

Very welcoming and helpful staff. The room was spacious and clean and the shower was amazing after being outside in the cold. Super close to the train station and restaurants.

Outstanding Service!

My bus back to Visp was running late and they brought my suitcase to the station so I wouldn’t miss my train. The room was lovely and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. They even gave me a chocolate Easter bunny when I checked in. Everyone I met in Valais is so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at the Baxter to easily travel to Zermatt and to the towns around Visp.
