Comfortable and good value for money.

It is a restaurant with very correct prices and the rations are fine, we stayed in the hostel and we really liked it so we did all the meals in the restaurant. If we come back, we'll repeat.

Family weekend

Everything is super clean, the pillows and mattress are very comfortable, so I have to say something, a refrigerator would be appreciated, the attention of 10, very helpful, the owner very nice and professional of course I recommend x

Very nice hotel !

The hotel have a good standard and is situated in a very nice village, with many restaurants around. Good price and very good service. One of my favorite hotels! It's situated a few kilometers from the highway, so very easy to reach.

A very good budget option

This hostel is one of the best value accommodations I´ve stayed in. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I did not test their ability to speak English as I speak fluent Spanish but given their attitude I´m sure any problems would be overcome.
There is a bar on the ground floor with a good atmosphere if you want to experience authentic Spain. Noise from this area was not a problem in terms of sleeping.
Marmolejo itself is also very authentic and down-to-earth. There is nothing of particular note to visit but the surrounding area has plenty of attractions for walkers and Andujar (for lynx spotting) is easily accessible from here.
The hostel is easy to find from the motorway (A4) and is a great option if you need to stop off when travelling and are looking for a good night´s sleep in a convivial atmosphere.

Friendly family-run hotel in a quiet town

Hostal Plaza is a friendly family-run country town hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable with all the facilities you'd expect at this grade. It was very hot when I stayed, and a mini-bar would have been a real boon (if only to keep my own bottle of water in!), but it's not fair to expect that at a hotel at this grade - and the prices are very reasonable. I stayed for a week on business and was made to feel very welcome - I don't speak Spanish but everyone was very patient with me and took the time to be helpful. Breakfasts are simple but fine, with plenty of hot toast, proper coffee and fresh orange juice. The bar downstairs serves wholesome Spanish pub-grub, and by the end of the week the regulars were saying 'hello' to me! I travel a lot and don't always feel comfortable in small-town hotels, but the Plaza was definitely an exception. Marmolejo is a pleasant little town, though there's nothing really there for tourists; however, it's only 2km off the A4 motorway, and if you're making for Cordoba, Seville or the costas, and want to overnight somewhere economical before you get there, then the Plaza is a much better option than one of the faceless motels on the highway. (The Plaza doesn't have its own car park, but there's plenty of space in the streets around).
