BEST RATE HOSTEL
Fully recommended. I'm a regular guest of WildHouseTatifa and I have to say that I love the place, and the people who run it... I don’t understand the derogatory remarks because it has nothing to do with reality. They're super friendly and polite, I've never seen bad form. The facilities are as they appear in the photos. It is quite clean, especially for the number of people passing through the hostel. The nearest beach is 300m in a straight line. A busy beach but very nice. In short, it is a special place worth enjoying. Maria.

The owner is crazy
I was verbally abused by the property owner/ manager on the phone. Why? Because I had arrived at 9am, earlier than check-in time.
I had a booking via booking.com, and the day before I had messaged them asking if I could drop my bags off in the morning. They only replied that their check in time was 3pm (which I didn't see). When I arrived, there was no one at reception, so a guest told me I could leave my bags there. The place was full of trash from an aftermath of a party. the guest told me they were 16 people and had booked the place out.
I went to the beach, and then called in the afternoon to see when I can check in. To my surprise, he was cussing and verbally abusing me. He said I arrived at his property before the check-in time, which is apparently not allowed. His reasoning was that it was a private property. Well, even if that's the case, one of the guests (who booked the place) let me in and told me I could leave my bags. It was so bazzare, I couldn't stop laughing! I went back immediately to take my belongings. I confronted him, and he continued to shout at me with non-sense.
Luckily I have recordings of everything as proof. I feel very sick to my guts because of his verbal abuse. I think he was pissed because maybe the guests staying there was pissed at him? And is afraid I'd report their illegal party? (which of course I already did.)

Best place in Tarifa
I have been living for some months there and feeling like at home! Clean, new, the kitchen is poweful and it has all the equipment you can need. But, I have to said that the best are the views from the hostel

Cualquier coincidencia con la realidad es pura casualidad
Al llegar al Wild House Tarifa a las 12.00 (hora que se especifica en la confirmación de reserva) no había nadie.
Nos atendió muy amablemente la chica que estaba limpiando e intentó llamar al propietario, sin mucho éxito, para explicarle que tenia huéspedes esperando (y no éramos los únicos, ya que una chica estaba en nuestra misma situación).
Al cabo de un rato apareció otro chico (seguíamos sin tener noticias del propietario). Al mostrarnos nuestra habitación nos quedamos sorprendidos y, todo sea dicho, muy decepcionados, ya que para nada era la habitación que te muestran en las fotos. Se trataba de una edificación con 5 camas (dos literas unidad por una cama individual que las unía entre sí). Sinceramente, el lugar no tenia nada que ver con lo que se nos había vendido y mucho menos tenia espacio para que 5 personas pudiesen estar dentro.
Después de discutirlo, decidimos marcharnos y buscar otro sitio, ya que aquel lugar para nada se ajustaba a lo que habíamos alquilado. Para nuestra sorpresa, el propietario se dignó a llamarnos a las 16.00 de la tarde con un tono muy maleducado pidiendo explicaciones sobre porqué nos habíamos ido. Se lo intentamos explicar de buenas maneras, pero lo único que hacía era levantar la voz de una manera muy maleducada y no dejar que le explicásemos que lo que está vendiendo no tiene nada de parecido con lo que se ve en las fotos. Además, el insistía en que la hora de llegada no era las 12.00, pero como se puede ver en la foto que adjunto esa fue la hora que se nos marca en la reserva (insisto, no éramos los únicos esperando a las 12.00).
Sin duda una muy mala experiencia.
El único punto positivo del lugar fueron la chica de la limpieza y el chico que nos atendió. En todo momento entendieron nuestro punto de vista y fueron muy respetuosos.
