Great value

A great choice for someone on a low budget. It is an apartment house, so there is no room service, and there is no restaurant/cafe on site, however they have coffee machines at the reception hall. It is located in an old block house very close to the heart of the city. One of the biggest shopping mall (Westend City Center), Lehel Market and the West Railway Station (Nyugati) and underground are just a few steps away.
The staff is very kind and very helpful. I travelled alone with my little 2 yo son, so it is not easy to juggle around with luggage and buggy and a child, but staff jumped in to help on arrival. They also helped a lot with information and booking a taxi on our leave.
The room was very clean, smelled lovely, equipped with everything for 2 people (Pots, cups and plates, cutlery, Microwave, a little fridge, a small cooking plate). Nice and clean bathroom with toilet. They have fast internet access, TV, and air con. which we didn't need to use.
It was a short stay - I've had some official tasks to do, and also did shopping and met with friends. I would use them again, whenever I need to stay in Budapest.

Staff were rude and unhelpful. Description and photos of the hotel are nothing like the actual Nothing like the description on booking.com. Door lock looked as if it had been broken into prior. Plug sockets were hanging out of the wall. The whole place was dark and dingy. The hot plate had to be balanced on top of the microwave to work. Looked like the entire place had been bodged together. Bathroom was barely big enough to move. Could hear other people's toilets flushing during the night. Duvet cover was grubby and pillows were long since finished. Safe in the room didn't work. The hotel doesn't accept card payments, and asks for payments in cash, price only quoted in Euro and the hotels rate of exchange is questionable. Random hidden costs, although I booked a room for 2 people, apparently I had only paid for one person, so had to then pay extra. Wifi was terrible, when it did actually connect it was horrendously slow.

Disappointing

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with this accommodation. The price was high for the quality/standard. The pots and dishes were filthy, the duvet minuscule, grubby. Pillows saw there best days long ago. Air con for which you have to pay additional barely worked. Safe not workable and no interest from management regarding the problem. Price when booked through booking.com not the same on arrival at the hotel. No, would not return :(

If you like hidden costs

I was looking for a good value place to stay with good location. I managed to find this hotel (which is just 'good location'). I booked it using a well-known website. Unexpectedly I got an email from the hotel in Hungarian. I replied that I didn't understand. They wrote me a couple more emails where the main idea was that I have to pay a deposit for the first night in 3 days using a bank transfer and they sent me their bank requisites (no online payment and they don't accept credit cards). When I made this reservation there was no note about any deposit. If you like these 'hidden costs' you are very welcomed to this place. I cancelled this reservation.

sistemazione semplice ma pulita a due passi dalla linea blu della metro

si tratta di monolocali con cucina, adatti sopratutto a coppie o single che voglio una sistemazione comoda e non troppo costosa. Essenziale ma pulito. Migliorerei la reception. tutto sommato un giudizio positivo.
