A Real Gem!

We had an incredible stay at Le Vert situated in the idyllic Lot countryside. We stayed here for our honeymoon and the owners, Eva and Bernard, went out of their way to make our stay as happy and enjoyable as possible, which it certainly was! Our room was large, with beautiful stone work, a fireplace and a baby grand piano, which we were able to play. We enjoyed Bernard’s incredible cooking! Treated with sumptuous meals on the terrace, it was very romantic and peaceful. The hotel is a perfect base for exploring the Lot- we canoed, went on countryside walks, went wine tasting and of course, explored the beautiful medieval towns nearby and prehistoric cave paintings! We still left time to enjoy the pool at the hotel! We will definitely return!

Peace and calm in beautiful area of Lot

Le Vert is a lovely house surrounded by large gardens and greenery. There is a lovely pool for swimming and relaxing and the rooms although quite simply furnished are very comfortable, clean and certainly spacious (we had room 4).
We had hoped to eat dinner as reports of excellent food and wines made it sounds great. However, 2 days before arrival we received an email telling us that Thursday is the day the kitchen is closed - shame we were told so late. Eva the owner recommended somewhere else to eat close by which was very good.
Excellent breakfast on the terrace with home made jams was a great way to start the day.
Would certainly return (but not on a Thursday)

A truly wonderful place

Fantastic food out on the patio with excellent wine from a vineyard I could see across the valley. Romantic rooms, a swimming pool and lovely owners. Exactly what a North American visitor is looking for in a French retreat.

Lot music

We have stayed in le vert for the lotmusic workshop several years running, the last time in July 2017. The small rural hotel is is set in beautiful countryside and has a relaxed welcoming feel. Eva and Bernard extend a warm welcome and the accommodation is simple but comfortable. Bernard's cooking is fabulous. Every meal is sourced with fresh local ingredients and all the menus are unusual and beautifully presented. Le Vert is basically a very high quality restaurant with accommodation. There is an open air pool which can be heated. The area is perfect for walking, with wonderful scenery of the Lot valley.
Very highly recommended.

Magical family-run hotel - very special

Magical family-run hotel - attractive and spacious rooms, extensive grounds leading down to the swimming pool, fabulous food always beautifully served. The owners are delightful people. Highly recommended.
