A feel-good oasis

This little castle is really a gem. It captivates with its attention to detail and the wonderful atmosphere. Every corner has something beautiful to discover. We spent our 25th anniversary in the “Sternstunden” suite and thoroughly enjoyed this spacious suite. Star hour style with a large bathroom and very comfortable beds. The Ganswindt couple was very attentive and nice. Breakfast in a great Mood was rich and delicious. We will definitely come back.

A nice and quirky hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights in december, and we enjoyed this quirky hotel. It was different from everything else we've tried before. Our room was very spacious with both a small hallway, a big bedroom and a huge bathroom with a nice tub. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and is very true to the style of the old building. The host couple were very nice and welcoming, and they told us about the history of the place while showing us to our room. The breakfast was okay, but maybe we had expected something out of the ordinary because of the surroundings. Only complaint would be that the hotel was rather cold and drafty. Thats life in old buildings. The sleeping comfort was good. There is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the town centre, so don't let the location of the place scare you off. Close to the hotel you will find the "Sudden Death Brewery", and it is absolutely worth a visit.

A dream of a stay

We booked five nights in this wonderful little castle and were completely happy and satisfied. The accommodation couldn't be more romantic and well-kept, the hosts are friendly and very helpful, the lovingly prepared breakfast is a delight. When we are back in Lübeck, we already know where we will stay.

Beautifully appointed historical house

Peter and Annette were excellent hosts and very patient with our loud and clumsy son.
The house has been beautifully restored and tastefully decorated. It was very interesting to hear its history from Peter on our arrival and also its place in the history of lubeck.
Our room was beautiful and huge.
It was a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the Holstentor, there is a cycle route which would be really quick.
I would definitely recommend the hotel as a lovely place to stay with a very interesting history and they have been clever in hiding its slightly industrial location.
