Fab holiday

Just got back from a week at this hotel and I can say what a lovely couple run this hotel place is so clean breakfast good choice and your made to feel so welcome they go out there way to make you feel welcome and do anything for you pool lovely clean I’d go back in a heart beat thanks for a wonderful holiday

A Wonderful Stay in Frikes

We arrived in Frikes Harbour and reached Hotel Nostos within five minutes on foot. On arrival, we were welcomed by Nicki, who kindly arranged for us to check into our room despite it only being 11am.
Our spacious top-floor room was excellent, with a lovely balcony overlooking both the pool and the sea. It had everything we needed, including a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, and more.
The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout, and the pool area was spacious with plenty of sunbeds available. We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the veranda taking in the beautiful surroundings.
The hotel has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind.
We only spent a couple of days in Ithaki this time, but we will definitely be back.
Thank you, Nicki, for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning!

A special place

We’ve just had the perfect week at the Nostos. It’s our second visit: this time we came with friends, and everything was just as good as before. Our comfortable rooms (which were cleaned every day) came with great air-con, a balcony, and a lovely sea view over the pool and gardens. We spent several mornings/afternoons by the fantastic pool – super clean and in the most magnificent and calm setting (no music blaring out) – and I can highly recommend the bar service (!) and Nicki’s home-cooked food. A real treat. Frikes itself has an authentic, unspoilt feel to it, with some great little tavernas, a bar, a small supermarket, a bakery and a few small shops. We also took a taxi over to Kioni (a lovely, picturesque place for lunch or dinner) and to a fantastic beach (near Stavros), which has sunbeds and umbrellas, food and drinks (Polis beach). Breakfasts were lovely (great coffee!) and just right, and we had them on a veranda overlooking the pool. A big thank you to Nicki, who arranged all our transfers, sorted out taxis on Ithaca, cooked us some fabulous food and generally put up with us (!). We’ve travelled a fair bit in our time, but some places just have a special ‘feel’ about them. The Nostos is one such place.

Homely hotel in a wonderful town

We stayed here as a family of 5 in July 2025. The hotel is located in a very pretty port town. There are several restaurants nearby and within walking distance to the port. The hotel itself is not new but is homely. It has all the basic essentials and is headed by a great husband and wife team.

Very pleasant hotel, beautifully located

We like the hotel a lot!! It is beautifully set up and very well located near the village of Frikes. The pool area is very nice, the flowers and greenery are wonderful and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is also nice! What I think could be improved is the bathrooms which are small and a bit outdated (but all is working well) , and the sofas etc in the reception and sitting area give a bit of a stuffy, old fashioned impression. I would also reduce the instructions signs :) Thanks for a lovely stay!!

Thank you to you and your family for choosing to stay with us and for your positive review. The bathrooms admittedly are small but functional. We cannot change the size now.
As for the lounge and reception furniture we bought them in June 2025.
Unfortunately we have to have signs stating the obvious.
