Part of Fereniki resort - save your money

We had one night here due to a flight delay. There should be warning bells in your head when you realise a resort has 200 spare beds in the first week of August....
Check in was chaotic and many people waited hours for rooms. Ok, a whole plane load of people being checking in at once is an exceptional circumstance. I do not understand how people were given keys to rooms which had guests in them already.
Our room was in the Hotel Metropol, which is part of the Fereniki complex. We checked in at the Fereniki reception and were allocated a room in the Metropol - lots of local hotels are part of this same complex.
The room we were eventually allocated was basic (I can live with that), and absolutely filthy. There was a cat in the room when we entered - which ran out of the open window when it saw us. The kitchenette units were greasy and spotted with some type of sauce. The bed linen was clean, but the pillows and mattresses themselves were very stained - large yellow and brown puddle marks on both. We didn't go looking for this, we saw it as we had to make the beds ourselves.
The bathroom was smelly because of an open drain in the floor, and there was mould in all the grouting and around the door frame. All woodwork in the room was swollen from the damp atmosphere. The whole room smelled damp.
The TV didn't work but was at the perfect height to bang your head.
No air con and windows only along one wall so no air flow (we didn't really want the cat back anyway).
The noise from the sea was very loud even through closed windows, but we liked that - soothing sound of waves rolling in across the beach (20 metres away).
We didn't eat any meals at the hotel, even though they were included, so couldn't comment on the food.
Overall if I had paid for this hotel, I'd be sorely disappointed and would be looking for my money back.
If you ever find yourselves in the same situation with a delayed flight, you might do as some of our fellow passengers did, and wander straight along the beachfront to any of the other hotels that aren't connected to the Fereniki.

Absolute rip off

No TV. No telephone. No free sunbeds. No kettle, crockery, cutlery, hairdryer and place stank of sewage. Only upside was the Bella Italia, run by Costa. Cheap but good food and drink. If it wasn't for this taverna I would have gone home on first day. The Tropicana was very good as well. Beach was good and sea was like a millpond. Clear, safe for kids and warm. Would go back but not on an all inclusive basis. Queueing up for 30 minutes to end up with a plateful of lukewarm pigswill was not my bag. Ate out after trying one dinner there. Resort is good. Staff are good but hotel and hotel food was utter crap.

worst holiday ever

we spent 12 nights at this hotel, there is a horrendous smell of sewage here ,we were in the blue newest part? the room was large , but lacking in the basics , no cups no kettle, no television that worked and a defunct wireless..the furnishings are tatty to say the least and the whole place needs a total refurb. We had a half board option , meals are taken at the Golden Bay hotel along the road, all food was uncovered and cold ,even water for drinks was cold, when an insect crawled out of the rice ,we were away on our toes never to return, absolutely disgusting, staff here were oblivious to any requests to heat food , all in all avoid at all cost. The only plus thing is staff at reception were helpful, and there is hot water but for us this is one to forget .ps our trip was holiday not business.

THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!

Spend 2 weeks in this hotel (02-16.06.2015). The hotel itself it deceives people straight from the start offering free Wifi , which it isnt, and they openly tell you to steal it off different hotels, that it has a gym which is why we choose the hotel in the first place, it didnt have one never as, and offering entertaintment which it also doesnt have, they just tell you to buy a drink at different hotel and you can enjoy there entertainment . There are only 8 sunbeds for the whole place and there old and nothing like the pictures (pictures are from different hotel). The food was terrible for the first week and thats if we could get a plate or a cup as they where always running out and when they came they were dirty. Most of the staff, including the manager didnt care or barely spoke english and just ignored you while chassing all the russian girls, which over 90%of guests were russian. So we had to eat out a lot because of this and the second week food improved a little, and to the rooms... the first room had electric wires and tiles all over the floor. The second room had slugs in the bathroom and really bad mould in the wardrobe and staff didnt care just wanted to wipe it down, the whole room smelled , and theres the where lots and I mean lots of mosquitos in the room and we asked at desk to get rid of them and they replied "what can we do its a wild life",as a result we got bits everywhere and had to put an antybiotic cream on them, the third room was ok just really dirty shower, as a result of waiting around we lost the first five days changing a rooms and waiting. They seems to think its acceptable to just keep moving you till you stop moaning or leave, as we know people where moving two or three times while were waiting or moaning about something else. It isnt design as an all inclusive hotel all the bars are 600 yards or more away from the pools, the ones next to the pool are pay bars. Will not advice anybody to go to that hotel!!!

This hotel does not exist!! Do not be fooled

If you see a good review of this place, do not believe it, it's a pack of lies. This is purely accommodation in a complex called Fereniki. There are seven hotels in this group, and one place in the middle of a scrub field where they expect all of the guests from these seven hotels to queue round the block for food.
We booked this with Olympic, by looking at their web site and seeing lovely photos of beautiful dining areas with blue furniture, crisp white tablecloths within a few yards from the sea, a lovely swimming pool, clean bedrooms. Nowhere on the description does it mention the word Fereniki, or complex or explain where it is you have to eat.
Of course we checked with Trip Advisor and were pleased to note that the majority of reviews were positive. There were the odd ones who were complaining but unfortunately thought that well there are always people who will moan. We usually believe that you get what you pay for but believe me you don't in this place. That is unless you are prepared to eat inferior food, drink endless amounts of watery lager and wine and are prepared to trek over dusty roads to get to the pool or the reception or food place (sorry, I cannot bring myself to call this feeding station/soup kitchen a dining area)
The truth about this place is that they treat you like cattle. I beg you do not go.
I have put quite a few reviews on trip advisor and I have always tried to tell the truth, believe me, this is the truth, I only wish it wasn't. It has cost us nearly £1,500, to discover this, please do not become another victim of Fereniki
