New hotel near the center in a quiet street

New hotel, nice rooms, private wellness facility, buffet breakfast. Very close to Zsolnay square and Kodaly Concert hall. I recommend!

This hotel they claim to be hotel is not the same way it looks on the pictures.There is no breakfast yet we paid for that, bad area. And dirty.

We booked the Vulkan Wellness Panzio Hotel and arrived at 3.55pm. We were told there was a receptionist until 8 pm but no one was there. There was a notice on the door to ring. We phoned the number and were told no room was alocated to us but we had been given a room in the sister hotel. It took us some time and a number of phone calls and an email to the same person to gain the address of this second hotel due to language barriers. We arrived to thishotel and a young male receptionist told us that our room was in a third hotel called Agoston Hotel. We proceeded to this hotel. Our room was appalling- no lights on, no wifi, planks of wood outside the room, and bathroom was disgusting. The original hotel, The Vulkan, that we had booked was rated 8.4/10. The Agoston was rated 3.4/10. We left straightaway and found a room in a lovely hotel called Adele Boutique Hotel. We phoned the hotel to ask for a refund as we booked one hotel and got a totally different hotel. They asked us to speak with Hotels.com, who, after 1 hour, 6 minute phone call eventually found in favour of us and initiated a refund. Hotels.com were actually brilliant in this situation. Beware when tempted to book the Vulkan!

Very nice pension

We booked through Booking.com. The description should have described the semi-automated check-in in detail, or explained that you have to make a cross-country call to check in. We were lucky that someone was there and greeted us warmly. The language problems were solved with the help of an app, so we were checked in relatively quickly. Despite the exact room description of our suite on Booking.com, we were surprised and totally delighted by the reality. We had room number 6 and the facilities were fantastic, everything very modern and lovingly furnished. Our son loved the TV, so we could even use Netflix and YouTube for free, so the lack of German channels didn't bother us Breakfast in the Vulkan Wellness Panzio was served buffet style in the basement. There was everything that the ❤️ could desire and needs for a good start to the day. We were surprised by the wide range on offer and it tasted excellent. We did not use the wellness program on offer, as it was offered for a fee, as already announced. It's completely fine that it wasn't free, but the price structure should perhaps be reconsidered. We would have liked to use the whirlpool if it had been charged per use and not per person. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would book this pension again and again. We are sad that our 2 nights are already over and we now have to continue our trip around Hungary.

Very comfortable and special attention!

Well located, near the Zsolnay quarter, a quarter mile from Király utca and main square.
Spacious and comfortable rooms, very good breakfast, cozy space for sauna and spa.
Very kind attention from hostess, always very helpful.
Definitely worth the price!
