Really good location and staff, the rooms are the definition of a 2star hotel so dont except anything more. I have nothing to complain about it was exactly what I hoped and excepted.

As a retired couple who have travelled extensively in Europe and overseas, and done 4 successive Interrail trips, this is the worst ‘hotel’ we have stayed in. Don’t be lured in by the pictures of the restaurant. The dinner on 1st night was average and very expensive (we recommend the excellent Osteria Tre Gobbi at the bottom of the hill) where we ate on our 2nd & 3rd nights. This is a restaurant with rooms at best, NOT a hotel. But charging 3/4**** prices.
The mattresses are very old & very uncomfortable, as others have reviewed for a few years now. Still not replaced & a basic minimum requirement! The en suite bathroom was very small and badly in need of updating. If you are any taller than 5’6” then sitting on the loo is only possible at an angle the bathroom is so narrow.
The WiFi is very patchy and the mobile signal in the bedrooms poor. When we went on to the terrace for an urgent phone call, we were asked to move at 22:00 as they were locking up. No public area available to sit in thereafter.
To cap it all, it transpires that the establishment is closed on a Wednesday from lunchtime. This meant we could not leave our luggage on checkout despite having a very late flight. The lady on reception directed us to a luggage storage facility up the road which ultimately cost us €35,00! When we expressed our displeasure at this and especially at not having been forewarned, the lady on reception just shrugged. Not even an apology.
The bedroom it was clean & breakfast good

Great location in Cita Alta Bergamo. Friendly staff and allowed us to store luggage after check out. Buffet breakfast included in price. No Aircon only noisy fans so room very hot making it very uncomfortable. Room small and tiny bathroom and shower with sink in the bedroom

Restaurant visit: outrageous cover charge

We only ate in the restaurant. The pizzas were good, and the service was also very friendly.
What really annoyed us, however, was the charged cover charge of 12 euros.
We saw that others received bread & olive oil. We received nothing and also noted this when paying. The unfriendly lady just said that it was customary that way.
We have not experienced this in Italy before.
Therefore, please ensure that one at least receives bread.

No air condition in our rooms….. and really hard beds. Was unforunately a horrible night because of that.
