Okutamaji in Ome liegt am Fluss, nur 5 Autominuten von Mitake-Schlucht und Nationalpark Chichibu Tamakai entfernt. Dieser Ryokan ist 17 km von Yokota Luftbasis und 17,9 km von Tokyo Summerland entfernt. Nutz folgende Freizeiteinrichtung: Sauna. Du kannst aber auch den schönen Ausblick von folgendem Punkt genießen: Garten. Okutamaji bietet seinen Gästen ein Restaurant mit köstlichen Speisen. Traditional Japan Hospitality at its Best - Okutamaji
Some rooms, the dining area and the hot springs bath all have peaceful river views. As a traditional hot springs hotel, there are no showers or tubs in the rooms, although there is a toilet and sink. The traditional Japanese rooms have tatami floors and futon bedding, which is laid out when you are at dinner. There are some Western rooms as well, with beds. The rooms and facility are very well maintained and spotlessly clean.
As you enter the bath, there is a changing area with sinks for grooming. In the bath itself are places to wash off before slipping into the soothing mineral water. It was hot, but not excessively so. Wonderful to sit back and look out of the window while your stress melts away. It would be best to understand the simple manners associated with a Japanese onsen bath before venturing in.
You have the option of including breakfast and dinner with your room reservation. This is highly recommended in order to enjoy the expertly prepared, locally sourced dishes, which are simply exquisite in presentation, taste and balance. Much of the dinner is served one dish at a time, although some things are cooked right at your seat. While the servings are small, at the end of the meal we were completely satisfied but not bloated.
The hotel has a gift shop in the lobby, with unique items from the Okutama area. It was difficult to limit our choice to just a few items.
The reasons to stay here at least one night are the exceptional meals and the hot spring bath, along with the natural and tranquil setting: traditional Japan hospitality at its best.

Prices are quite expensive.
English service is not providing. (But I do not mind)
This hotel provides tedious holiday for guest.
Lot of tourists is not stay over night here because this area is already within commuting distance of Tokyo.
Meaning, Hotel guests has desire of something any difference from other day trip tourists.
However, hotel was not provided any especially for guest.
The food is very disappointment.
They did not provide local special food such as river fishes or edible wild plants foods.
There is no wine (Sake) list.
It was a very unremarkable food like a Japanese home-cooked meal.
Room décor is also unremarkable.
Most staff looks to good people.
However, they are not trained for professional of hotel-man.
You do not expect to professional service from them.
Because, most staff is housewives from neighborhood,
They are working in this hotel a few hours in day for repayment of their home loan.
I know that this income is not a lot for them.
This hotel is fronting the Tama River but back side is local residential village.
These houses built recently and seem functional houses for middle class local citizen.
There is really nothing after evening time.
I did not discover what I should do it without watching a TV.
I have never been seen such as a like this tedium and really unremarkable hotel in my life.
You are able to most tedium experience hotel life at the here.
If stay for a week?
Going to die due to the tedium reason.....
