Nice, clean hotel

My experience staying at this hotel was quite pleasant. The room was well-maintained and clean. The bed was large and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. There was no bottled water in the room, but there was a sign in the bathroom informing guests that tap water was drinkable. Breakfast was very nice. The receptionist was very kind and helpful.
Parking is rather small.

Not what I expected

The room I stayed was small, somewhat stuffy, in the last floor, with a roof window with quite funny demand to close it when leaving. I found it opened and did not close – too high to reach it. To carry luggage one has to maneuvre quite a number of steps. Though small, the room was clean enough, so was bathroom, though the latter would need some upgrading. Another thing – the shower is neither a shower nor a bathtub. Too small for a bathtub and too high to comfortably climb in. Even though they state that the hotel has its parking, it is so small that it was not possible to find free place, so I had to leave my car some distance away in a public parking. Restaurant is fine, on the expensive side, though food is nothing very special except for their signature cucumber ice cream.
Generally, service is the last thing I pay attention when at a hotel, though it is additional bonus when service is nice. I do not even know how to evaluate service at Grejaus namas, because there were two different ladies at the check in counter. One was attentive, smiley if a bit flustered and not always efficient, another one totally ignoring her surroundings, absolutely engrossed in her phone. Total crack down of the service was noticeable during breakfast. They accept bustour groups and are obviously not prepared to supply breakfast for such number of people at a time. I was almost sorry for the flustered lady when coffee machine broke and, additionally there was not enough clean cups.

Horrible food, unprofessional personnel (refers to the restaurant)

We do not recommend this restaurant with horrible food and unprofessional personnel. We were waiting for the meal for over an hour while the promise was 25 minutes. Worst of all was the fish which was oversalted and was uneatable. Personnel salved the problem unprofessionally. An apology and 1,5 euro discount is not so much of help when you pay big amount for horrible disgusting fish which was one of the most expensive main courses in the menu and also we felt sick afterwards. New food should have been offered or the money back. I wonder if the owner reads these feedbacks? We see more unhappy customers writing about their bad experience at Grejaus Namas restaurant. We made mistake not reading reviews before choosing it. We visited Kedainiai to see old town, to have a pleasant meal. We came in to this restaurant because we saw a cosy and welcoming inner courtyard, a lesson again - don't judge the dog by its hair.

Good location, helpful staff

Very good central location, breakfast was tasty (extra charge), helpful staff.
Down side was no drinking water in a room but soon as we ask staff bring jug of water and extra pillows we request. Little bit hard to find hotel driving car but we managed at the end. A bit noisy in the early morning and staff smoking below our open window. Staff eating breakfast left overs in the restaurant soon as we left - very unprofessional. Overall good value for money . Can't complain.

Very good for 3 stars

Big clean room with air-conditioner. Good bathroom with clean towels. Breakfast is a bit poor but there are things to eat. There is free parking for cars. Hotel is highly recommended to stay in that area!
