Great experience, would highly recommend!

What an exquisite experience I had with my family in Bejar, the hotel really goes with the city's atmosphere and scenery. Throughout my Europe trip Spanish food was the best and the food at the hotel was really good! The place was always very clean and had a friendly staff, if we were to come back to Bejar we would definitely return to Hotel Colon. I really hope you enjoy the experience as much as we did.

Bad experience

Been there in march 2017. Any member of the staff speaks english or even tries to understand english or portuguese.
Swiming pool is not available (although they say it is in the website). Not coming back.

All good except restaurant

Bejar has limited hotels, and having cycled up fully loaded from Plas enviable, the Hotel Colon did the business. Reception were good, gave us somewhere to put the bikes, the bar lady was very good, the room was clean comfortable and well maintained.
Later we tried the restaurant, and walked out. The waiter was rude and inattentive, it was no surprise that there was only one other diner.
So, in summary, hotel fine but go to Mas Que Tapas down the street for snacks and wine.

Lovely staff, pleasant hotel, perfect location

Travelling through Spain, Bejar is a perfect stop off directly on the main highway. The hotel staff were very friendly with some English speaking staff. They have there own car park and there is ample free parking behind the hotel.
Not much in the way of restaurants in town but plenty of taps bars serving fresh cooked tapas speciailities of the region.
The hotel restaurant is one of just a few in town.
Breakfast was more than adequate and included in the 65 € rate for 2 people.

Cómo estropear un finde en pareja.

Habitaciones viejas, el colchón estaba deformado, solo funcionaban 2 enchufes en la habitación, poca iluminación, la cortina de la bañera en su día fue blanca, nos han salido bichos en el baño, pelos que no eran nuestros en el lavabo, el secador no secaba y el aire que expulsaba olía a tabaco, como toda la habitación. No nos dejaron gel y los dos rollos que teníamos de papel higiénico estaban ya empezados, la calefacción la manejan desde la recepción, todas las puertas pitan al abrirlas con la tarjeta y se escucha por todo el pasillo. Creo que no se me olvida nada, ¿Volveremos? No

Estamos mejorando las instalaciones y seguramente tengamos algunas carencias e imperfecciones.Es por eso que agrademos a nuestros clientes que nos hagan saber en el momento, cuales son los fallos que tenemos, ya que de ese modo podemos buscar la manera, primero de solucionarlo y segundo que su estancia sea la mas agradable posible. Si no lo comunican en recepcion, la direccion poco puede hacer ahora por mejorar su fin de semana.
