Es Moli Hotel in Deià liegt in den Bergen, nur eine 5-minütige Fahrt von La Casa de Robert Graves und Son Marroig entfernt. Dieses Hotel in Strandnähe ist 4,1 km von Cala Deià und 11,8 km von Bahnhof Ferrocarril de Sóller entfernt. Nimm dir die Zeit, um folgende Einrichtungen zu nutzen: Außenpool, Tennisplatz im Freien und Fitnessbereich (rund um die Uhr geöffnet). Our fourth trip to Es Moli!
This was our fourth trip to Es Moli and was booked at last minute due to our hesitation over hearing about the changes and seeing the trip advisor reviews. Let me tell you now yes there are changes and there are little things you don’t get anymore but at the end of the day you make your own holiday and my sister and I did exactly that! So the changes are the reception is now upstairs which seems bizarre but you are still greeted by a member of staff and your luggage is dealt with the reception is still manned by the lovely staff that have always been there and it was lovely to see them again. The beach club yes you are charged and we chose not to go because we had paid a lot for the holiday and thought it was quite expensive but that was our choice not to go. The food has changed the pool bar snacks still have their delicious chips but where was my tuna sandwich which I love and we did have a laugh with the staff asking for it!
We stayed in a triple room because of last minute availability. The rooms are as always traditional and you get sun beds on the terrace but if your not very mobile don’t book one of these as you have to climb out a window and I bumped my head a couple of times but we laughed about it!
No tea making facilities anymore but I took a travel kettle which isn’t a problem I don’t like nespresso machines anyway.
To all the staff at Es Moli keep doing what your doing we were greeted with such affection when seeing you all and we know changes are hard but Es Moli is very special and the new owners need to know that the regulars all get what this hotel is about. I’m fed up of seeing all the influencers saying it isn’t 5 star, some of them are only there for 2-3 days and just walking around posing for photographs and talking very loud and it’s all about them and not the hotel and its staff.
One last thing it is a shame breakfast isn’t served outside because it is stunning in a morning but nearly every restaurant in Deia this year have had a problem with wasps no matter where you went it was the same everywhere.
Some people say they won’t go back but we will be back I had a relaxing holiday in a very special place so thank you to all the staff and see you next year x

Why we keep coming back to Es Molí ❤️
I’ve been coming to Deià for many years, and Es Molí has always been a very special part of that experience. It’s one of those places where you build memories, recognise faces and, over time, feel like you’re coming home rather than simply checking into a hotel.
So, honestly, I think we all need to take a breath , calm the reviews down and remember why we came to Es Molí in the first place.
It’s certainly not because it was perfect. It was because it had character, history, warmth and soul. It felt different from other hotels — and that’s exactly what made it special.
Of course there are things I would love to see return. I want reception back on the ground floor, because that’s where it belongs. I miss the sweets in the bowel, the little touches that made you smile as you walked through the door. I miss breakfast outside, sitting in that beautiful terrace and taking your time. And yes… I definitely miss the tuna sandwich!
These may sound like small things, but when you’ve been coming somewhere for years, those small things become part of your memories. So if changes are happening and the hotel is evolving let's hope it is for a better experience and the owners think about all of their customers not just the new ones they want to attract!
The staff are another huge part of Es Molí. So many have stayed loyal over the years, and it must be incredibly difficult for them to constantly hear criticism of a place they have given so much of themselves to. We should remember that behind every change are real people who care about the hotel and its guests.
And the wasps? Buy some waspinators ! They are certainly not unique to Es Molí — they seem to be everywhere in Deià this year.
We spoke to so many people during our stay who, like us, keep returning year after year. They come back to see old friends, to be recognised, to sit in familiar places and to relive memories. That is something very special and not something you can create simply by spending money on a hotel. There are people who stay for one or two days and then go to the next place to be seen but will they return year on year. Dont forget your bread and butter because they are the people you need when times get tough.
But I hope, amongst all the criticism read and opinions about what should or shouldn’t change, we don’t lose sight of what makes this place so special.
It’s Deià in the sunshine. ☀️Familiar faces✨The greeting when staff see you have returned ☀️Old friends✨. A drink in the bar ✨Breakfast outside (please ). . A tuna sandwich. And that wonderful feeling that you’ve returned somewhere that has been part of your life for years.
Es Molí doesn’t need to become something else. It just needs to remember what made us love it in the first place.

A long overdue review.
We stayed at Es Moli in September /October last year so this review is very late. We’ve been visiting for many years, and have always been greeted warmly by the regular staff and had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful hotel that was home from home.
Unfortunately, last year my partner was taken ill on day 2 and spent the rest of our holiday ( and more) in hospital. But Es Moli still looked after me. Their regular enquiries, kindness, understanding and offers of help were second to none. We knew that despite our misfortune, we loved being at Es Moli so much that we would be back to enjoy a less eventful holiday this year and we spent winter dreaming!
Then came all the negative reviews. We were disappointed and decided to wait a while.
This week, I read the reviews of two ladies from Yorkshire. Now if anyone can be practical and honest, it’s proper Yorkshire lasses! We read their reviews, took everything on board and decided we too can make a few adjustments. We can take our own travel kettle and toiletries and although we love La Muleta, we can manage without. We can enjoy the friendliness and warmth of the staff, delicious breakfasts, the amazing pool, listening to the donkeys braying from the terraces, the wanders around Deia, and of course, the comfort and style of this beautiful hotel.
We think we’re too late to visit this year, but we’re now looking forward to coming back, maybe in Spring. However, please could you sort the situation with the tuna sandwiches!!

One of the most gorgeous hotels I have ever stayed in! Very clean, staff were fantastic, the pool was incredible! Very kid and family friendly! Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the beach durring our stay but other guests told us it was incredible! They have a shuttle down to the beach. It’s a short walk to deia. I would absolutely stay here again!

So disappointed
Our tenth visit . The most disappointing and we will not be returning. I would echo a lot of what has been said in earlier reviews. There have been many changes to this once wonderful hotel. But most sadly the staff, who remain are most unhappy and really are not interested anymore. I realise that the clients have changed to a more American viewpoint, and no doubt that makes it difficult for staff but those Europeans of us, are made feel second class citizens and clearly are not part of the new management plans. It is an object lesson in how the ruin a lovely hotel, we have so many options to travel we will use these and not return here. I would also urge others to think seriously before they book, and check out the changes here before doing so.
