Faulty Towers
I have to say that the location is world class, and the 360 degree views are absolutely stunning!!!
The staff were very friendly and did all they could to help us.The food was very basic Spanish as we would expect, menu del dia there was no choice, it appears that 4 people run the Hotel and everybody mucks in to do whatever is required.
The entrance canopy appears to be structurally unsound. The inside of the hotel was very clean, but outside appeared neglected ie. ashtrays weren’t emptied and glasses not regularly collected.
A toilet seat was broken and not replaced during the stay. Surely if it was being cleaned on a daily basis, the cleaner would have noticed it.
Very limited English spoken, but it is Spain !!! Anyway Professor Google helped on the bits that I didn’t know!!!
The breakfast was too basic for a three star hotel, and we had to ask for milk each morning.
There was an urn of cold coffee in the breakfast room that was there for the duration of our stay.
On arrival, we followed the entrance signs up the slip road to find that it had been fenced off with a permanent wire fence.
I never did find out the reason for that.
It took some time to find the rear entrance up a tiny back street.
Anyway, it was a Jalance experience!!!
To sum up, staying here requires patience!

Hell will freeze before I return here
My Hotel Jalance Experience was beyond dreadful. They failed to provide extremely important services which they promote they have. It is a dangerous environment for pedestrians and anyone going to and from the pool.
No english speaking staff on site whilst there, which is OK until there are problems and boy, did I have those in spades. I am not even referring to the Nuclear Power Station less than 2km away!
1. Car Parking
Falsely represented.
Only for smaller vehicles than mine and hard to find access as the proper drive in is blocked off - I am guessing no planning permission for it. So they have banged a small hole in the wall at the back (no signposting to find it). If your car is small enough to get through it you have to drive across two patio's one of which is between hotel and pool.
2. NO WiFi for Mac Users
Falsely represented.
They know about this and blame Macintosh! Never mind the fact that over a million public access WiFi points from back street cafés to little B&B's and Hotels of all sizes across ALL of the EU and beyond CAN connect any Mac to WiFi... it is, in the (very rude) managers' opinion a Mac company and user problem, not his nor his hotels.
3. No english speaking staff on site
Falsely reresented.
To find out why I couldn't connect to WiFi, I had to insist on the receptionist calling the management and he did have some English but no solution nor offer of use of a hotel computer for me to connect to my business mail.
3. Danger to pedestrians on site.
(See car parking paragraph regarding moving cars on pedestrian area routing).
4. Incompetence and rudeness
This will take a little longer...
At checkout I volunteered payment. I was asked for €16.50 for my meals which I paid in cash. I was given a receipt for the food and room costs. I believed at the time the hotel was one of three hotels I had paid in advance out of the four I stayed at on this business trip.
About 4pm I received a phone call from the manager but I was driving and the connection cut straight away. At the time I thought it ironic that he had not been able to connect after his WiFi fail for Macs!
Later, at a hotel that delivered all it stated including WiFi for Mac users, I found a message from the Jalance Manager strewn with sentences in capital letters, clearly thinking I had left knowing my room bill was unpaid. Demanding I email my card details to him! I wouldn't for security reasons of course - only an idiot would do that and in this exchange I was not the idiot. I later sent him the warning from the booking site that states 'do not send payment info via email' which he described as just standard site info and not relevant.
I did of course ensure he was paid when he eventually and in bad temper, sent transfer details for his bank. I paid in full even though the hotel did not deliver the amenities they say they do on their website or on the booking sites, they do that knowingly. That in my book is dishonest.
I use over 120 bookings in Europe every year travelling on business. Never have I been so treated nor so misled by the information given about facilities available.
I never asked for a discount and none was offered.
Two photo's uploaded show the car park entrance and the view from my balcony - the power station helpully light up the cooling towers at night!

Great setting, could be a better experience.
Our room was a fair size, clean, well air conditioned, had plenty of storage space and stunning views.
Unfortunately, we were staying at the same time as a large group of adults and children. The hotel, in their wisdom, decided to give us a room amongst these guests so that we were disturbed until at least 1am by children running, shouting and slamming doors. Surely, there were other quieter options available for us which we would have explored had we been staying longer than one night.
The other issue was dinner, we booked a half-board package expecting a reasonable menu choice not a child oriented buffet (served from 9pm which was 30 minutes later than advertised). The receptionist was very helpful and after 2 visits to the kitchen, negotiated that we would be offered a very limited choice of 2 starters and 2 main courses which would be prepared for us and subsequently other guests who were clearly not part of the large group and also unimpressed with the buffet. The gazpacho was fairly bland but the chicken breast with padron peppers and potatoes was very tasty indeed. Dessert was from the buffet. Unfortunately, the children/youths were mostly unsupervised at dinner, some were running around in swim shorts without shirts and costumes without shorts and were incredibly noisy. As a teacher, I have taken children on residential trips to hotels and I know they can be better behaved than this. Surely also, the hotel and/or the adults should have implemented a dress code for dinner in what was a 3* hotel restaurant.
Breakfast was a basic buffet but we expected more from a 3* hotel, we have had much better breakfasts in Casa Rurals which are cheaper and have less stars.
The entrance canopy was in a state of near collapse, not an impressive welcome, this was the first thing my husband (who is an engineer) noticed.
There is a good sized pool and bar outside with some lovely outdoor seating areas overlooking both sides of the valley.
