Excellent Hotel ✨️ 10/10
We absolutely love the Exe Moncloa. We’ve stayed here twice now, and whenever we’re travelling to Madrid, it’s always one of the first hotels we try to book. We’ve visited Madrid several times over the past year, and unfortunately the hotel hasn’t always been available, but whenever we can get it, this is where we want to stay.
The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and always spotlessly clean. Everything looks fresh and almost brand new every time we visit. The large curtains are brilliant as well, as you can completely black out the room when you want to sleep. We honestly couldn’t ask for a nicer or more comfortable room, a very peaceful and very quiet. We heard virtually no noise, which made for a great night’s sleep.
The staff are exceptional. Everyone we’ve dealt with has been super friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they really add to the experience.
The location is another massive plus. You’re right in the heart of Moncloa, with the Metro literally across the road and loads of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. Getting around Madrid from here couldn’t be easier.
This time I finally got to enjoy the rooftop bar, which was absolutely fantastic. My wife loved every moment of the stay as well.
Being Irish, we somehow even managed to bring the weather with us! We travelled to Madrid looking for Spanish sunshine and ended up getting rain on our first night. Typical Irish luck! ☔
If I had to find one small criticism, it would probably be the breakfast. The hot-food selection is quite limited compared with what we’re used to in Ireland. We do love our sausages, rashers, pudding and a good hearty breakfast! But that could simply be a cultural difference and certainly wouldn’t stop us returning.
Beautiful rooms, spotless throughout, fantastic staff, brilliant location, great value for money and a wonderful atmosphere.
10/10 from both of us. If I could give Exe Moncloa 100/100, I would. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Disappointment
Arrival at the hotel (at night) with a baby of 4 months and 4* this hotel has zero.
The only thing that has good is the location. And even this gets compromised when the hotel has zero sound insulation. 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday) and the noise from the outside became unbearable until 4:00 a.m. It was impossible to sleep like this.
Even the upper/bottom floor chairs of hearing dragging or even the conversations of people in the hallways. The room was not clean, despite the various letters left in the room that said the opposite.
The bathtub was dirty with stains and hair still. The ground ranged huge. The room warm to the point of looking like a summer day right there but we are in February.
Damaged door. Spots on the cushions and the bathroom ceiling falling from moisture.
After asking someone to go to the room to see the state in which he was, they answered, “At the moment we have no one available.”
The breakfast also left much to be desired, a real banquet but the food without any taste.
Three elevators available but only one always worked. We got to use the stairs.
The rooftop is closed and obviously only opens in the summer.
We left with the sick baby.
We booked a 4 star hotel to be comfortable with the baby, but even in 3 star hotels in Morocco we had better conditions. We won't come back even if we get paid.

Perfect location and a very good hotel.
Very complete breakfast and they restock every little while.
The best part is the comfort of the bed and the hotel terrace on the penthouse, with a small pool, ideal for sunbathing in the summer. Starting at 7:30 PM it is in summer terrace mode for you to have a drink with privileged views of Madrid.

Meeting point after a city tour at the rooftop bar with a beautiful view and sunset
The reception was nice, and the check-in and check-out were quick.
The reception was very helpful.
The room was okay for a few days, but I would have liked a bit more space for my clothes so that I could take them out of the suitcase.
Next time, definitely take a room on the back side; it was very loud with laughter and ambulances constantly passing by.
Breakfast had a wide selection and was always clean.
The rooftop bar was the highlight, and the service was very friendly from the staff from Venezuela
